Church Conditions of use

We look forward to welcoming you to St. Andrew’s Church and hope that your time here will be enjoyable and blessed, but there are certain conditions that we need to impose on all users of the Church.

1.         Ensure that your organisation has adequate public liability insurance to cover all liabilities that you may incur through your use of the Church.

2.         Ensure that you carry out a Risk Assessment before your event in the Church.  We are very willing to be of any assistance.

3.         Make sure that the fire doors are kept clear and that emergency vehicles have access at all times. (This involves controlling parking around the West door and the Lych Gate).

4.         Positively encourage the sharing of cars or the hiring of minibuses as parking at the Church is limited.

5.         Follow fire regulations by not placing chairs in the aisles.  The Church does have emergency lighting in case of blackout.

6.         If any staging is erected have it approved first, by the Vicar, a Churchwarden or the Parish Administrator.

7.         If you want to use the sound system in Church contact one of the above in advance of your event or rehearsals.  There will be a charge of £10 per hour for the services of an operator.

8.         Leave everything as you found it.  If any articles (in particular musical instruments) or furniture have to be moved please put them back.  The pews are colour coded and numbered and fit to steel pins in the floor.  We are willing to help with this, but please ask!

9.         Remove all equipment before the services on Sunday (unless specific arrangements have been made beforehand)

10.       Please do not move any literature, books or notices in the Church

11.       Parking is not permitted in the Church grounds except in designated parking bays.  Parking on the grass is only permitted in summer in very dry conditions.

12.      To ensure the flow of traffic along Junction Road please ask people to park on the opposite side to the Church. (ie the side next to the allotments)

To assist with the upkeep of the Church we ask for a donation of £20.00 per hour. (To include rehearsal time for your event)

You will need to contact the Parish office who will send you a copy of these conditions for you to sign and return showing your acceptance of them, together with a copy of your insurance documents.
